iPhone 4S Upgrade Woes RE: photos

I installed iOS 5 on my iPhone 4 about a week earlier than the Oct. 12th release date. Loved it. Used the new album creation (like tagging really) to make a bunch of “albums” that made it easy. I digress. Anyway, I picked up my 4S on Friday. I took one last backup of my […]

Safari’s Reader Mode

So, I was looking at some of the new features of iOS 5 the other day, and came across the reader mode of Safari on my phone (the iPhone 4S). It takes all the crap out of the site you’re reading and gives you just the content. So far, it’s worked 100% of the time […]

Tigers

I took Benjamin to the ALCS tonight. It was awesome. We both got to experience a game at this level of the playoffs for the first time. We went with Matt and Louis and had a really good time. We saw homer after homer and left the game yearning for the Tigers to go to […]

Early Impressions of iOS 5

So, I installed iOS 5 yesterday. Very easy to do. Remember, you need iTunes 10.5 Beta 7 or higher to do this. Restored everything from my backup as I hoped. I love the new notification system, where it drops a small title bar down from the top of the screen. I also like how it […]

Using Apple Computers

The first time I used an Apple computer was playing some tank game at my dad’s cousin’s house in Indiana. Was an Apple IIe I believe. And my first work on a Mac was for the Michigan Tech Lode, their weekly paper. Was a PowerMac and used QuarkXpress. Loved it.

Speechless

I’m speechless. Steve Jobs, a modern pioneer, dead at 56 years old. His innovations and fervor for progress in technology will be missed and reflected upon and probably never copied. RIP Steve Jobs!

Before This Day

How crazy. When Christopher was getting himself dressed this morning, he asked me what we did “before this day”. It’s crazy because I just posted about his “after this day” phrase!!

After This Day

I just wanted to catalog this phrase. Christopher refers to “tomorrow” as “after this day”. I wanted to make sure I remembered this in the future, and that I could remind him of it when he’s older.
